Crop
Scan 1000B |
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
|
CropScan 1000B is a Near
Infrared Transmission Analyser designed to measure protein, oil,
starch and moisture in whole grains of wheat, barley, oats,
sorghum, canola., corn and soybeans. An
optional test weight module is available
for the CropScan 1000B. The CropScan 1000B uses a diode array
spectrometer to scan the wavelength region, 720-1100nm. Within
this region of the NIT spectrum, protein, moisture, oil and
starch absorb NIR energy.
Grain is poured into a 500ml sample cup. A blade is inserted
across the grain and the excess grain is poured out. The blade
is removed from the cup and the 500ml of grain is poured into
the sample hopper. The grain is metered through the optical
chamber where the NIT spectra are collected and stored in
memory. The average of between 10 and 30 spectra are used to
compute the percentage protein, oil and moisture. The grain
falls into the sample cup which is located on a load cell. The
weight of the 500ml of grain is
recorded and displayed along with the protein, oil and moisture.

Crop Scan Loren 1000G |
|
|
|
|
The CropScan Loren 1000G On Farm Analyser is
designed to provide farmers with a reliable means of measuring
protein, moisture and oil in wheat, barley and canola. The
CropScan Loren 1000G uses a diode array spectrometer to scan the
wavelength region, 720-1100nm. Within this region of the NIR
spectrum, protein, moisture, oil and starch absorb NIR energy.
Light from a tungsten halogen lamp passes through a sample of
grain. The light is dispersed across a silicon photodiode diode
array detector to produce a NIT spectrum. The amount of light
absorbed across the NIT spectrum is proportional to the
concentration of the protein, moisture, oil and starch. Grain is
poured into the funnel where it is metered through the optical
chamber. The NIT spectra are collected and the average of 10
spectra is used to compute the percentage protein and moisture
or oil and moisture in the grains. The grains fall into the
sample cup at the bottom of the analyser.

Cryette |
|
|
|
|
The Precision Systems Cryoscopes are precision
instruments that automate the measurements of freezing point
depression of solutions. A simple adjustment of the cooling bath
temperature of the Wide Range Cryette implements the
measurements of freezing point depression of solutions with
freezing points in the range of
-10°C to +10°C. Depression of the freezing point of a solvent is
directly proportional to solute particle concentration, and is
generally independent of the chemical nature of the dissolved
material. As a result, an accurate measure of freezing point
depression presents a powerful analytical tool in many
application areas.

Multi Scan S1000 |
|
|
|
|
The Series 1000 Analysers are a range of Near
Infrared Transmission analysers designed for specific end user
applications, i.e., Alcohol Analyser, Moisture Analyser and Fat
and Moisture Analyser. The S1000 Analysers scan from 820 to
980nm using a diode array spectrometer but with different
sampling systems to suit different applications.
• The S1000 Alcohol Analyser uses a flow through cell and
a peristaltic pump to fill and empty samples of wine, beer and
other alcoholic beverages.
• The S1000 Moisture Analyser uses a 5mm thick powder cell
for measuring moisture in homogeneous samples such as ground
grains, flour, chemicals, powders etc.
• The S1000 Fat and Moisture Analyser also uses the 5mm
thick powder cell but measures two components simultaneously.
The Series 1000 Analysers are simple to operate and include an
Auto-calibration function.
NTAS software is available for calibration development.

The Series 2000 Near Infrared Transmission
Analyser is a powerful diode array spectrometer designed to
measure transmission spectra through liquids, powders, granules
and slurries. The Series 2000 NIT spectrometer measures the
O-H(water and alcohol), N-H(proteins, amides and amines) and
C-H(fats, oils, surfactants, carbohydrates and hydrocarbons)
bonds in
a broad range of materials. Applications include petrochemicals,
plastics, polymers, chemicals, textiles and pharmaceuticals. The
Series 2000 has samples cells available to measure liquids,
slurries, granules, pellets, powders, films and woven materials.
NTAS(NIR Technology Analysis Software) is included in this
system and provides a comprehensive Chemometrics software
package.

The Series 3000 Food Analyser is a Near
Infrared Transmission spectrometer designed to measure protein,
fat, water, sugar, alcohol and other compounds in meat, dairy
products, dough, milk powder etc in less than 1 minute. The
Series 3000 Food Analyser uses a rotating sample drawer to
analyse a wide range of materials, i.e., granules, powders,
liquids, slurries, emulsions, films and solids. The rotating
sample drawer collects the NIT spectra over a wide area and then
averages the spectra to give
more accurate results. Samples can be loaded into Lexan dishes
or disposable plastic petri dishes. The Series 3000 Food
Analyser uses a Touchpad Screen PC running our NTAS (NIR
Technology Analysis Software) suite of programs.

NTAS Software |
|
|
|
|
NTAS is a software suite developed to provide
users of NIR Technology Systems’ instruments the ability to
develop applications using Discriminant Analysis and Partial
Least Squares Regression. The major attraction of NTAS is the
ease of use, yet it offers a comprehensive range of chemometric
tools to collect spectra, transform spectra, extract spectral
information and to develop models to make quantitative and
qualitative measurements using NIR analysers.

Nutri Scan |
|
|
|
|
NutriScan is an automated
in vitro digestion system designed to measure the amount of
glucose that is released during the enzymatic breakdown of
foods. The objective is to predict the GI, i.e., Glycaemic
Index, and the RS, i.e., Resistant Starch, that would be
determined by the standard in vivo methodology.
NutriScan does not measure GI, but
emulates the breakdown of food in the human gut and provides a
measurement that correlates strongly with the in vivo
methodology.

Odorscan M1000 |
|
|
|
|
OdourScan Model 1000 is
an electronic nose device that can be used to monitor odours and
smells in a production or external environment. OdourScan uses a
set of 6 electro chemical sensors that respond to different
sources of odour, e.g., aromatic hydrocarbons, aliphatic
hydrocarbons, aldehydes, amines,
sulphides and others. The OdourScan Model 1000 provides a
continuous output for each sensor that can be used to initiate
an alarm or at least to have a record of the odours in the
environment.

|
OdourScan is an
electronic nose device that can be used to consistently measure
the smell or aroma of materials such as food, grains, beverages,
etc. OdourScan uses a set of 6 electro chemical sensors that
respond to different sources of odour, e.g., aromatic
hydrocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aldehydes, amines,
sulphides and others. By sampling the
headspace above a sample of food or other material,
OdourScan can be used to determine if the
odour is consistent from batch to batch or if the odour is
changing over time.
